Get to know me

Hi! I’m Jess, mum to two boys and a total birth nerd.

I had my first baby in 2020 and as soon as I was pregnant, I was immediately fascinated by birth. My husband and I took a hypnobirthing course to help us prepare ahead of labour although I wish we had invested in a more thorough antenatal course. Whilst our birth wasn’t as smooth as I would have hoped for, I vividly remember feeling like a rockstar after giving birth!

We had our second baby in 2025 and my experiences this time around have only furthered my interest in all things pregnancy and birth related. This is why I have created the Gather and Grow Birth Community as a local support network for parents in Eastleigh, Southampton and the surrounding areas with antenatal courses, coffee mornings, and social events.

I’m incredibly passionate about supporting couples like you on the journey through pregnancy and into the newborn era. My aim is teach you about the different types of birth, how to navigate the UK maternity system, your birth rights, what to expect during postpartum, and how to support each other as you learn to care for your new baby.

They say it takes a village and with us, you’ll find yours.
